Zoë extra virgin olive oil is made from the Koroneiki olive which is considered the best Greek olive in the world. It is known for its high Polyphenols (antioxidant) and monounsaturated fats as well as the freshest and most balanced tasting oil in the world. The Koroneiki tree originates from the south west region of Messenia, the exact place where Zoë is produced.
The koroneiki olives are pressed together with fresh basil from the Zoë estate which releases the distinct aromas and oils from the basil leaves. The flavours are fresh and grassy with the poignant aroma of the basil. The palate is fresh, clean and creamy that is nicely balanced by the lovely peppery finish from the extra virgin olive oil. This oil is ideal for salads, drizzled over bruschetta, pastas, marinade for white meats, on grilled sandwiches, drizzled over popcorn or just dunk a baguette in it!
