Father's Day

Father’s Day June 17th

“My Father didn’t tell me how to live, he lived, and let me watch him do it”
~Clarence Kelland

It is said that we gain empathy through our Fathers. If this be true, my own Father had it in spades! He was many things to me but most of all, he served as a silent lesson of how to live in this world. His daily way of navigating through life, particularly the hard parts, was exemplary in that he met each challenge with outward confidence, class and careful execution. His ability to be empathic, strong, caring and fun all at the same time was truly remarkable and inspiring to me.

Aside from being our role models in life, our Dads give us many reasons to celebrate them. Is your Dad the kind to give lots of good advice? Perhaps he's your “go to” DIY guy? Maybe your Dad is the one who always played sports with you. Or he was the one who let you stay up past your bedtime , eat that second bowl of ice cream or ordered a pizza at midnight on a Saturday. Our Fathers have been there for many of us financially, too. I can’t count how many times my own Father came through for me with rent because I over extended myself in my early 20s!

If you are searching for that perfect gift to give, we hope you will stop by the store and check out our gift ideas for your Father. Ask our staff to show you some distinctive ideas, including our “Reclaimed” items. We have wonderful “Dad decor” that include up-cycled beer glasses, Fish-centric room decor, and the most amazing planes made from vintage skis and bindings. Truly unique!
